Ulteriore is a cultural platform devoted to photography, visual arts and contemporary communications.

Through curatorial projects, training programmes and public initiatives, it fosters spaces for research, production and exchange among artists, professionals and audiences.

The project is an initiative of ULTERIORE APS, a non-profit organization based in Reggio Calabria.

TEODORA MALAVENDA
Creative Director

Curator, editor and creative consultant with an experience of over fifteen years in the field of photography and visual culture. She develops narratives and project strategies, working with professionals, magazines and institutions to interpret the present through images.

From 2018 to 2025, she was Photo Editor of WE World Energy, a magazine on culture, energy and geopolitics published by ENI.

In addition to her consultancy work, she has a strong experience in training, curating workshops, masterclasses and mentorship programmes dedicated to visual editing and the development of an authorial identity.

ADELE SERGI
Education and Exhibition Management

Adele Sergi is an architect and a teacher of Art History. For years, she has explored the power of photography as a tool for investigating and narrating territory. She has held coordination, editorial, and curatorial roles in projects of significant cultural and educational relevance, collaborating with leading figures in contemporary photojournalism, both nationally and internationally. At the core of her work is visual education, understood as a practice of ethical awareness and critical analysis of the contemporary.

ELIZABETH GRECH
Translator & networking

Elizabeth Grech lives between here and there, between Paris and Reggio Calabria via Malta. She is in charge of International Relations, Communication and Translation for Mana Chuma Teatro. As a translator, she especially works as a consultant with the CIHEAM, the Officine Universelle Buly and other cultural and artistic entities. She has translated various contemporary Maltese poets into French. Her translations have been published in book form and in literary journals. Her own poetry in the Maltese language has been published in anthologies, journals and artistic projects in several languages.
